House of Starts is a co-creation institution. This website is operated by HoSt Innovation Foundation, legal name HOST INNOVATION FOUNDATION, CIN U85300GJ2021NPL122522.

This policy covers this website and its Start Something and Network early-access forms. A separately operated event, service or commercial engagement may identify its own operator and terms. Follow the notice provided for that activity.

Information we collect

When you submit a form, we collect your name, email address, selected intent and answers. You may also provide your organization and city or region. Start Something may include information about your progress and what you need.

We record the form used, submission time, your age confirmation and agreement to the applicable notice. We also keep the information needed to follow up, record your privacy choices and manage retention.

Our hosting and email providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP addresses, request and delivery times, browser or device information, and security or delivery events. Each form requires Google sign-in and is configured to allow one response per Google account. This limit does not prevent a person from using multiple accounts.

Please provide only information relevant to your submission. Do not include passwords, government identification numbers, payment-card details, medical information, or confidential information that you are not authorized to share. If you mention another person, share their personal details only when you have an appropriate basis to do so.

Start Something

We use your submission to evaluate your Signal, understand the opportunity or capability you describe, contact you about it, assess relevant fit within HoSt and undertake reasonable follow-up consistent with your request. This may involve HoSt's Network, Activities, Programs, co-creation mechanisms or relevant opportunities.

A submission does not automatically create a Start, partnership, membership, Program admission, investment process or Network acceptance.

Network early access

We use your registration to evaluate your interest in Network early access and contact you about your registration and relevant access arrangements. Registration does not automatically grant Network membership and is separate from Start Something.

Team access and collaborator sharing

Authorized HoSt team members may review and act on your submission as needed for its stated purpose.

HoSt may share relevant details, including contact details where needed, with potential collaborators to evaluate or pursue a relevant introduction, opportunity or access arrangement. We limit sharing to information reasonably needed for that purpose. For Network early-access registrations, sharing is limited to the registration and access purpose described above.

Your agreement to the form notice includes this purpose-related sharing. It does not authorize public publication of your submission or unrelated marketing. Public use of your personal profile, story or testimonial requires separate permission.

You may contact the HoSt Privacy Coordinator to withdraw your agreement to further processing or sharing. We will explain any limits affecting information already shared or retention required by law, and coordinate applicable requests with recipients where appropriate.

Service providers and processing locations

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Google Forms collects submissions and stores them in the form and its linked private Google Sheet. Google sends response notifications to HoSt's Google-hosted mailbox. Authorized team members may use controlled working copies when responding to submissions or handling privacy requests.

These providers may process information in countries other than India. We do not promise that all information stays in India. We use provider arrangements and safeguards appropriate to the services and applicable requirements.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims, subject to applicable requirements.

Marketing

Neither form subscribes you to newsletters, promotional marketing or unrelated communications. Any future marketing subscription will use a separate explicit opt-in.

How long we retain information

We retain submission information for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction. A meaningful interaction includes a substantive reply, meeting or participation. An automated notification does not restart the period.

A different period may apply where the information becomes part of an active relationship, Start, Program, project or other ongoing HoSt activity, or where legal, contractual, accounting, security or dispute obligations require retention. We review these exceptions and retain only what is needed.

We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed or when an applicable deletion request can be fulfilled. Our process covers submission records, notification emails and controlled exports. Backup copies are removed through the relevant backup expiration process; pending expiration, they are restricted from ordinary use. If a backup is restored, applicable deletion instructions must be reapplied.

Your choices, requests and complaints

You can ask about the information we hold about you, request access or correction, request deletion, withdraw your agreement to further processing, or raise a privacy concern. Email privacy@houseofstarts.com with enough information to identify your submission and explain your request.

We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing or changing information. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them securely.

The HoSt Privacy Coordinator will coordinate your request, explain any necessary verification or applicable retention exception, and respond within the period required by applicable law. Withdrawal may mean that we cannot continue the requested introduction, evaluation or access process. It does not undo processing already lawfully completed.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, reply to the privacy mailbox requesting escalation to the website operator. This does not limit any complaint or remedy available to you under applicable law.

Age requirement

The Start Something and Network early-access forms are for people aged 18 or older. Do not submit either form if you are under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted personal information, contact the HoSt Privacy Coordinator so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Cookies, storage and security

Google Forms loads only when you choose to open a form. Google sign-in is required; Google may process account information, cookies and technical information to provide and protect its service. The contact email you enter in the form may differ from your Google account email.

The website does not use advertising pixels, third-party analytics, marketing cookies or externally hosted fonts. Essential hosting or security technologies may process technical information to deliver the website and reduce abuse. We will update our notices and provide any required choices before introducing optional tracking.

We restrict submission access to authorized team members and service providers and use access controls and protective measures appropriate to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We will publish updates on this page with an updated effective date. If we materially change how submissions are used, we will provide any additional notice or choice required before applying that change.
